about

This is a rough everything, done during the quarantine.

I don't usually put stuff up that's this rough, but god knows how long any of us are going to live at this rate, and I didn't want to take the time to gloss it up.

I kept crying during the vocal takes, which you can probably hear and hear how stuffed up my nose was from it. I gave up after about 5 takes and comped together what I had. Pretend it's just rawness, not snot and tears.

No guitar, because the upstairs goons keep complaining. (Usually, I can get takes done when they're out of the house...but now they're never out of the house...)

I really just want to go home to Vermont. Where I'd feel safe. And that's what the song is about. Duh.

(And yes, that's my house in Vermont. With the best dog I've ever known standing guard. He's no longer with us.)
